1. Hybrid solution using ground sensor and remote sensing to provide site specific recommendation 2. Low Cost and affordable. 3. Wireless Solar and LoRa based soil sensor have capability to be scaled to hectors of land with LoRaWan and without the use of GSM. This eliminates the issue with connectivity. 4. Analytics for Market Dynamics 5. Helpline: Dedicated agro team for Pest/Disease Management through call service as well 6.. Organised way to track the farm insight and real time data.
Several FPOs and Farmers were interviewed. FPOs are not using any technology where they can track the farms area and output. They are not aware how much crops are being produced and what are the expected output. According They help in inputs and In current scenario where government is pushing for more and more FPOs all over the country. It is important that they use technology to organise the data at one place and can use these insight to help the farmers to optimize the input cost and produce more.Today . IMPROPER IRRIGATION- 60-70% lost due to improper irrigation 2.PESTS AND DISEASES ATTACK - No way to track real time health of the crop remotely which leads to 50-60 % of crop loss. Farms are large and if infestation begins in one zone or area then it is not possible to detect on time. 3. LOW CROP YIELD- No proper surveillance for Crop Growth. 4.RESOURCE WASTAGE -Input Wastage Water, Power, Seeds, Fertilizers, etc. 5. NO PROPER CHANNEL OF ADVISORIES - Farmers still depends on local seed/input supplier for dissemination of information. For most part of the previous year, farmers were not only fetching lower prices for their produce but also paying more for consumption. This widening gap between falling income and rising expenses was a major blow to finances of farmers. They are using inputs like fertilizers/ pesticides even if not required. 6. Sell produce at lower rate - No idea of Market Dynamics- Farmers doesnot know where they can get best price for their produce. Farmers either 1. Use their saved money to produce and Sell them in local market 2. Take credit from the middlemen or local credit supplier who promise to take their produce once harvested. Suppose creditor promises x amount for his produce so In this case if after harvesting, the mandi price of that crop is 2x , then also the farmer only gets x amount. Since he is not aware of the market dynamics, he is forced to sell his produce at a lower rate. Empowering farmers with farm and market insight is important so that they can take decision. 7. Unaware of cold storage and their price in near by areas.
