Unique Features Of The Solution/equipment - How Is It Different Than What Is Available In The Market:

A scalable process for production of curcumin/curcuminoids fortified whey protein powder has been developed by dissolving curcumin/curcuminoids in ethanol using polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and a food grade surfactant at ambient temperature, recovery of solvent by vacuum distillation, dissolution of reaction mixture in liquid whey (whey isolated and whey concentrate) followed by spray drying of the resulting solution, whereby the whey powder obtained contains water soluble curcumin/curcuminoids and whey protein for use as as nutraceutical.
