The response of Microbial inoculants/Biofertilizers varies with crops, host cultivars, locations, sessions, agronomic practices, soil fertility, interactions of microbial strains used with native soil microflora. The prerequisite is high quality native microbial strains strain which have high nitrogen fixation and nodulation activity/ high IAA production/ high phosphate solubilization/ high siderophore activity etc. Secondly, suitability of the species of a particular microbial inoculants/ consortia for the target crop are critical factors which are responsible for the effective nutrient management. The another important consideration is the application of these microbial inoculants to the host plant to get better establishment and also protects the inoculum from harmful environment factors and maintains or enhance the activity and shelf life of the strains. Hence, the main objective is to develop liquid inoculants formulations for different biofertilizers / consortia biofertilizers and test their efficacy for different crops.
