Unique Features Of The Solution/equipment - How Is It Different Than What Is Available In The Market:

It is a simple, on-the-spot test for detection of admixture of Butter yellow (toxic compound) with mustard oil. A drop of oil sample is placed on a colour detection strip. If adulterated with Butter Yellow, the colour of the strip changes to pink. Approximate concentration of the adulterant is estimated up to 10 p.p. by comparing with standard colour bands printed on the cover sheet.
