Unique Features Of The Solution/equipment - How Is It Different Than What Is Available In The Market:

Improvements have been made over traditional grain storage structures. Four designs have been developed(i) Underground concrete bin, cap. 1 t, (ii) Brick bin above ground, cap. 1-3 t (iii) Semi-underground cement bin, cap. 1 t (iv) domestic clay bin, cap. 1 t. The domestic clay bin is cylindrical in shape, made of 230 cm thick burnt brickwork in mud mortar up to plinth. Superstructure consists of sun-dried bricks laid in mud mortar reinforced by split bamboo. A wooden lid with suitable opening in provided. Barriers are provided against rodents.
