A unique milk collection network, where bulk milk coolers (BMC) are installed at the village level and run by local entrepreneurs. These BMCs also act as hubs for the dissemination of value-added services to farmers, like training, payments, cattle feed etc. The strategic proximity of the BMC to the village enables us to maintain the highest quality standards through timely collection and tightly managed cold chain, where the milk is chilled within 45 minutes of milking while Centralized chilling models typically take anywhere between 2-3 hours for delivery to centres.
MilkLane (ML) is an industrial-scale collection and distribution platform for high quality milk. It works around a BCO (bulk cooler operators) model, which are collection centres with bulk tanks that can hold up to 2,000 litres of milk. These BCOs help collect and store milk in a strict temperature-controlled environment thereby helping to increase the shelf life and quality of the milk.
